According to a University of Pittsburgh study, race, weight ‘or perception of weight’ play a role in risky sexual behavior amongst teen girls. Basically they found that both girls who are too fat and girls who are too skinny are more willing to go au naturel. Apparently ‘perceived weight’ also affects a girl’s risky sexual behavior. So if she just thinks she’s fat or thinks she’s skinny she’s less likely to use a condom.
These stats are mostly about white girls, but there’s also a connection between ethnicity and risky sexual behavior.
I don’t think this will come as any surprise to most women. It’s common subconscious knowledge. If we’re overweight or think we’re overweight we have low self-esteem so we’re more desperate. And if we’re underweight we have low self-esteem so we’re desperate. It’s kind of the female version of the Napoleon complex.
In fact, I don’t think this will come as any surprise to most guys, either. I’ve heard the term ‘a pretty girl who has sex like an ugly girl.’ In other words, a girl who Effs like someone aiming to please. The implications of it are pretty messed up, and the saddest part it is that in reality these girls probably don’t have anything to be insecure about.
