According to the NY Daily News, a 13-Year-Old Iowa cat tested positive for the H1N1 virus. It is the first documented feline to be diagnosed. Two of the three people who live with the cat have already come down with the flu. Health officials told families to protect their pets the way they would anyone else.
The cat and his family have all recovered from their illnesses.
